CHILDREN'S INDIA HOME

Our beloved Roni and his brother Honey were tragically killed in a car accident in November. We will always remember him for his loving smile and generous heart. He worked hard to create a better life for himself and generously shared what little he had with his special children Utam and Ravi. His humanity was a gift to us all.

In his last letter to Dr. Gladys he expressed his profound gratitude to her and to the Foundation for helping him realize his dream that went beyond becoming a dentist. His dream was to make a better world for children with so little.

To honor Roni, the Foundation is continuing his dream. We are expanding our Roni project to provide for the children of the Dhanauri Children’s Home in India. This home is very special to Roni and to us. It is a home that was founded by Dr. Gladys’s parents just after the turn of the 20th century. It provides shelter, food, medicine, and education for children of lepers. Roni grew up in this home. It is now the home to his precious children, Utam and Ravi. They and nearly 40 other children have become the children of the Gladys Taylor McGarey Medical Foundation.
